The electrolyte filled between the two poles acts as a traversing medium, allowing lithium ions to move from the positive electrode to the negative electrode, and finally be embedded in the negative electrode material at the other end of the battery. At this point, the battery cathode material is a lithium-rich situation. In addition, the electronic devices in the external circuit of the rechargeable battery also transmit from the positive to the negative direction. After the electronic devices of the external circuit run to the negative direction, the Li+ in the raw material is reduced to Li. All rechargeable battery system software is in a state of charge balance. So how does a lithium ion battery work during the discharge process? The entire charging process is opposite to the discharging process. In the entire process, the lithium-ion battery is not easy to destroy its lattice constant and chemical structure during the entire insertion and sliding process.?
How does a lithium ion battery work?
In order to ensure the safe and reliable use of lithium-ion batteries, experts have carried out very strict and thorough battery safety design to achieve battery safety assessment indicators. So, how does a lithium-ion battery work?
1. Automatic shut-off protection at 135℃. The international advanced Celgard2300PE-PP-PE three-layer composite film is used. When the temperature of the battery reaches 120°C, the pores of the PE film on both sides of the composite membrane are closed, the internal resistance of the battery increases, and the temperature rises inside the battery slows down. When the temperature of the battery reaches 135°C, the PP film hole is closed, the internal circuit of the battery is disconnected, and the battery no longer heats up, ensuring the safety and reliability of the battery.
2. Add additives to the electro-hydraulic. How does a lithium ion battery work when the battery is overcharged and the battery voltage is higher than 4.2v? The electro-hydraulic additives polymerize with other substances in the electro-hydraulic, and the internal resistance of the battery is greatly increased, a large-area open circuit is formed inside the battery, and the battery no longer heats up.
3. Composite structure of battery cover. The battery cap or shell adopts a scored explosion-proof structure. When the battery heats up, part of the gas generated during the internal activation of the battery expands and the internal pressure of the battery increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, the nick breaks and releases gas.
4. Various environmental abuse tests. Conduct various abuse tests, such as external short circuit, overcharge, acupuncture, plate impact, and incineration to investigate the safety performance of the battery. At the same time, the battery is subjected to temperature shock tests and mechanical performance tests such as vibration, drop, and shock to investigate the performance of the battery in the actual use environment.
